San Francisco architect Charles Bloszies, joined by William Menking, Editor-in-Chief of the Architect's Newspaper, and Michael Manfredi, Principal at Weiss/Manfredi explore this topic as part of the NYPL's series Architectural Explorations in Books.

The evening's conversation includes a discussion of why modern architecture merged with old building fabric tends to be controversial and what underlying design principles can lead to successful outcomes in this often overlooked genre.
