32nd Annual Ohio Scottish Games

Come to the 32nd Annual Ohio Scottish Games, enjoy the sound of massed bagpipe bands and immerse yourself in all of the entertainment, color and pageantry as the arts and traditions of Scotland come alive in Ohio. Saturday, June 27th at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington, Ohio, 8 am to 6 pm. Tickets: Adults $15, Seniors $10, Ages 6-12 $2, Five and under are free. Free parking. Entertainers are Charlie Zahm, The Glengarry Bhoys, The Brigadoons and Prydein. Watch traditional Scottish competitions including highland dancing, solo piping and drumming, pipe bands, harping, fiddling and heavy athletics, including the caber toss. Enjoy border collies herding sheep, Highland Cattle and Clydesdale Horses, Celtic food, craft and retail vendors, a Scottish clans village, a genealogist, a Gaelic Mod, an interactive living history troupe, and British cars and motorcycles. 19th Annual Scots’ Golf Outing
Enjoy a day of fun and recreation while supporting a worthwhile cause. Thursday, June 25th at the Skyland Golf Course, 2085 Center Road, Hinckley (2 miles east of I-71 on Route 303). Register individually and we will provide partners, or register as your own team. All proceeds to benefit the Ohio Scottish Arts School Scholarship Fund. Entry fee of $55.00 includes green fees (cart extra), steak dinner, refreshments and door prizes. Dinner only is $15.00. Callaway handicap rules apply. Highland Concert and Ceilidh
An evening of Scottish entertainment at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington, Ohio on Friday, June 26th at 7:30 pm. The Concert features Scottish balladeer Charlie Zahm , Fiddler/Step Dancer Bonita LeBlanc, 2008 National Champion Highland Dancer Jean Stein, 2009 Regional Champion Highland Dancer Lila Greco, the 2008 National Scottish Harp Championship 1st Place Winner Sairey Miller, and the 2008 Scottish Harp Society of America $1,000 Scholarship Winner Allison Miller. Immediately following the Concert is a Clan Torchlight Walk and the Ceilidh featuring the Brigadoons. All proceeds to benefit the Ohio Scottish Arts School Scholarship Fund.
