Features a 22-piece Concert band with 9 singing actors; a show highlighting major events in the life of famed John Philip Sousa (1854-1932)
Marches... comic opera...opera...ballads...humor...history,,, ragtime and much much more!

Here is a brand new show guaranteed to lift your spirits, saturate you in nostalgia and fill you with patriotic pride! Written especially for the Fine Arts market by Prince/SF's president, Ken Malucelli, with the consent and cooperation of the Sousa family's representation, the show is designed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of John Philip Sousa, "The March King," in 2004.

With a cast of nine plus a 22-piece band, the show is written as a patchwork of vignettes criss-crossing Sousa's life as a master bandleader/composer/ arranger/author/speaker, and features some of the most beloved music ever written...tunes which are still being played and played again, and which remain in the repertoire of concert bands worldwide: Semper Fidelis; Washington Post; El Capitan; Liberty Bell; U.S. Field Artlillery: and, of course, the official march of the United States, Stars and Stripes Forever.

With humor and history, songs and stories, waltzes and marches, this is an ideal show for all ages... a show for the ages!
