The Kohlmeyer Circle of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art presents the 2nd annual O-mazing Race, an interactive scavenger hunt adventure through New Orleans. Participants pursue clues in horse-drawn carriages, testing knowledge of all things Southern—music, art, literature, history and fashion—in the ultimate quest to explore the Big Easy.

Last year, from the starting gun's craze to the Quarter's beignets to Marigny's Cafe, the contestants found secret gardens and galleries, touched ghosts and tarots, got carts and body art, serenaded our city's finest while sipping the city's finest concoctions and savoring its secrets, and finally made art out of themselves which George Dureau judged while a DJ spun the floor at the after party.

This year you might end up searching for the pope and a steamboat, voodoo queens and drag kings, watch a wedding and do some betting. But the music, art and culture do not end with the race. In true New Orleans style, the party rolls on at the after party where you’ll enjoy wine, liquor, beer and hors d'oeuvres with a New Orleans flavor.

Carriages accommodate teams of 6 participants. Reservations will be accepted in the order they are received. Space is limited. No refunds for cancellation will be made after February 15, 2008.
