Most of us won't be tripping off to Washington D.C. to attend the inauguration of our 44th President Barack Obama on January 20th, 2009. However, that certainly doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate with our friends in Washoe County, who worked on the campaign and are excited to issue in a new era of change.

In advance of this festive affair, many of you are calling in with questions about our local take on an Inaugural Gala. No worries: this event is all about a comfortable, community celebration. But for those of you eager for more details, here is the run-down:

What's the Dress Code? Dude it up... or not so much. Please, if you have a vintage beaded gown or a once-worn tux hanging in your closet - this is the time to bring it out. But for those of you who are really more comfortable in your favorite one-of-a-kind Obama t-shirt with a sport coat and jeans, do indulge yourself. We are, after all, an eclectic bunch. We would prefer you not arrive in Bermuda shorts...
