For the 6th year, the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division and Art In Public Places have come together to organize a public art initiative as part of their Next Level workshop series. “Off The Grid: Recharging Public Art + Design” will be a full-day symposium featuring an in-depth look at existing and future public art and design in the Seaholm District, a uniquely Austin adaptive reuse project and a model for sustainable urban revitalization nationwide.

The event will feature panels and activities with Public Workshop’s and Alex Gilliam (of New York City), and representatives of Austin Green Art, Sustainable Urban Agriculture, Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services Office, Southwest Strategies Group, and Festival Beach Community Garden.

Register by October 5. Limited spaces.
