What's happening at October Lates?
This month Lates investigates the birds and the bees: Sex & Science. Join us!
Join Dr Petra Boynton to explore the myths and realities of sex, we engage in a spot of speed dating, Punk Science show off their bits and there’s a free oyster for every customer!
If you fancy some dirty dancing, you'll be able to improve that smouldering Latin-American attitude with a quick lesson in salsa dancing. Will you be Joe Calzaghe or Alesha Dixon? Or move your body to some slinky tunes at the Silent Disco and Dr Peter Lovatt discusses “Dance and Hormones”. You too can determine who you will find hot, or not, on the dance floor.
And of course the regular Lates events will be up for it as usual – the Pub Quiz goes all “lurve”, we’ll have the usual great selection of gallery tours, the pedal sessions return after a triumphant first showing last month and if you want to get away from it all, go off by yourself and try a bit of rubbing. No, brass rubbing.
**What is Lates?
Science Museum Lates is the exciting adults only event, held once a month, that invites you to experience the Science Museum after hours. So if you want an entertaining free night out, Lates is the place to be.
Lates provides the opportunity to explore the museum’s most popular exhibitions away from children. The museum is packed with over 50 interactive exhibits for you to get your hands on and each Lates has a varied programme of entertainment.
