1). Pinktober. Hard Rock International’s 13th annual breast cancer awareness campaign for the month of October. Features a concert by Bananarama, female pop-duo, at Hard Rock Cafe on Friday, October 5 at 9 p.m. Proceeds from PINKTOBER™ merchandise will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Caron Keating Foundation and selected additional charities. The casino is a sponsor for the 2012 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Saturday, October 6. The resort is making a limited number of “Get into Bed” PINKTOBER™ “Pink Sheets” rooms available to guests for booking. Twenty five percent of the proceeds from these room bookings, which are at no additional cost to guests, will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Since 2007, Hard Rock International has donated over $2 million, and they are currently fully funding two BCRF research grants.
