Obama Postcard Campaign September 24, 2008

Not comfortable on knocking on doors or calling strangers? Rather have a root canal then help with a voter registration drive? Feel like you are not able to contribute?

No matter who you are

you can be the change.

How?

Who gets actual mail in their mailbox these days? When I do I think to myself- WOW someone took the time to write and send this to me- and I am flattered! From home or with a group of other supporters... You can reach out to voters with personal postcards.

Want to do this?

1. You or your group buys or creates postcards (something you think the campaign would approve or from your city/state).

2. Then write a few lines on postcards telling DEAR VOTER why you are going to vote for Barack Obama (No need to mention the opposition)!

3. YES Stamp the cards (you might be able to use the .27 stamps if they are sized 6" x 4 1/4" or smaller).

4. Then ship all of them, by September 30th, to Ohio. Address is- WFO Post Card Campaign, 193 E. Rich Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. There they will be screened, addressed, and mailed out - across the country!- by other Obama volunteers

I would encourage you to make it an event in your community. Maybe do this before the debate on the 26th? It is best to ask people to complete 8-10 and schedule one hour. It is low key, productive, and enjoyable. It is a wonderful opportunity to involve those who are not able to get out much as well. It appeals to the young and those young at heart.***Need help in creating the cards? I have a word document, with sayings from the 2004 convention speech, that you can copy onto blank cards from the office supply place. *Need help with possible lines?
