Jnine Media, creators of the non-profit Barack Obama “My Fellow Organizers” documentary will be hosting a community- preview screening fundraiser event in Philadelphia on May 29, 2009 at the Painted Bride Arts Center. As Barack Obama focuses on building his new administration and army of supporters, it is important that individuals continue to organize and be involved. Our organization would like to utilize the film as a vehicle to encourage the principals of volunteerism relating to the issues facing the Philadelphia communities. We would like to take this opportunity to present scenes of the film to local residents and gain support for "Organizing for the Future" middle and high school outreach project.

Joined by local politicians and community educational leaders, this event will discuss the true role of the community organizer and the goals of local leaders to support youth programs in the arts, media, and technology. There will be an artist exhibit lead by Michelle Angela (Obama Hope St Mural Artist). Hors d’oeuves and Drinks will be served. Dress is Business Attire.

Confirmed Speakers: State Senator, Vincent Hughes 186th District State Representative, Kenyatta Johnson Jenn Shaw, “My Fellow Organizers” Film Director Jane Golden, Executive Director of Philadelphia Mural Arts Philadelphia Student Union Partnerships for Achieving Careers in Technology and Science (P.A.C.T.S)
