O Zone at OMCA will celebrate California's love of food and beverage as part of the calendar month that is perhaps about food more than any other. Inspired by concurrent OMCA exhibitions including Pixar: 25 Years of Animation, VIVO: Days of the Dead 2010, The Marvelous Museum: A Project by Mark Dion, and ongoing exhibitions in the Galleries of California Art and History.

Central to the festivities will be a screening of Pixar's Ratatouille with commentary and Q&A with some of the artists who helped make the film. Chef Robert Dorsey III's Blue Oak will be center stage for the evening with a special menu and cocktails, and O Zone participants can sport their favorite cocktail party attire and visit the sake bar adjacent to the koi pond. Lavay Smith and the Red Hot Skillet Lickers will provide a musical buffet of delicious dance tunes, and visitors can collect a set of OMCA recipe cards during tours of the Galleries of California Art and History.
