Using Pixar's "The Incredibles" as a springboard for programming, "incredible" exhibitions, objects, people, food, dance, film and stories of the incredible state of California in art, history and natural science highlight O Zone at OMCA Friday, October 8, 5 pm-9 pm.

Inspired by concurrent exhibitions "Pixar: 25 Years of Animation", "VIVO: Days of the Dead 2010", "The Marvelous Museum: A Project by Mark Dion", and ongoing exhibitions in the Galleries of California Art and History, activities center around the amazing and unusual.

A highlight of the evening will be a superhero costume contest for all ages giving a nod to Pixar's "The Incredibles", which will be screened in the James Moore Theater accompanied by commentary and Q&A with some of the Pixar artists who helped make it.

The extraordinary contributions of Latino cultures to the story of California will be celebrated in VIVO: Days of the Dead 2010 in the Gallery of California Art, and with the percussion-driven dance music of Cuba-born Jesus Diaz Y Su QBA.

Pixar shorts will be screened in the mini theater in the Hollywood section of the Gallery of California History, and amazing stories will be told in the History Hangout. Blue Oak will feature a special menu inspired by the evening's events.
