O Mighty Isis is BACK! Sometime in early 1988 the Mothership accidentally dropped a funk bomb on the outskirts of Palo Alto and a group of fella's decided to contact the funk supreme alien brothers to form O MIGHTY ISIS. Anyone that was lucky enough to be there knew it was a straight up mothership connection...20 years have passed and now on August 21, 2009 the mothership is set to touch down in Palo Alto once again ... If you weren't lucky enough then, now's yo chance to experience the funktastic voyage for yo-self. The original band will all be there to funk it up one mo time.

INFLUENCES: Parliament Funkadelic, Bar-Kays, Chuck Brown, Trouble Funk, EW&F, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Bootsy Collins, Tower of Power..

We’re not only a guaranteeing that you’ll have an incredibly funktastic night full of dancing, sweating and reconnecting; were also giving you an opportunity to lift your spirits even higher! We’ve planned a benefit raffle for charity at the show so we can share our joy and give back to our local and global communities that really need our love, generosity, and support.

We will be supporting two organizations: Allen Temple AIDS Ministry provides healthcare and medication for AIDS patients and orphans in Africa (Zimbabwe) and Mural Music and Arts Program, a local (E. Palo Alto) art/music program whose mission is to educate, empower and inspire youth through the arts.
