Formed in early 2005, Nyos is a progressive rock band with the intention of blending as many styles of music as possible to create a sound unlike anything else around. Hailing from Greensboro NC, they formed with the purpose of writing intricate, insightful, dynamic, and thought-provoking music. The influence of old-school speed metal, jazz, and blues ambience is undeniable. Influences include King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Ween, Opeth, and just about anything else that has weight and invokes emotion.
