Flushing Meadows - Corona Park
Queens, New York 11368

This is a landmark year for Decompression. Decompression is teaming up with the Queens Museum of Art, a historic community-oriented arts institution, to showcase the brightest creative flames of NYC, the East Coast and beyond.

We are all the creators of Decompression and together we will bring illumination and warmth to the November night, deep in the heart of the Concrete Jungle. Set in the bucolic environs of Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the inner reaches of the borough of Queens, we will create a lush and vibrant oasis of imagination.

Concrete Jungle needs every trailblazer and explorer to tread boldly with us into the wild. If you have an installation, performance, theme camp, band, activity, sculpture, painting, art car, photograph or imaginative menagerie of any sort, please bring it with you. It will take all of our creative resources to make it through the night. There is no room for spectators in the depths of the jungle.

Hardy pioneers of all sorts will be needed for this expedition. Every rugged ranger, gregarious greeter, DPW daredevil, gritty gatekeeper, determined doctor and vivacious volunteer are in demand! And everyone from the lowliest scout to the grandest shaman must Leave No Trace.

You must purchase tickets in advance to attend ($25 at the URL below). There will be no ticket sales at the door. Tickets are expected to go fast, so get them at your earliest opportunity.

Decompression is a 501c3 non profit art event sponsored by Circle Arts (http://www.circlearts.org).
