Alex Hillman is a freelance web developer, a community strategy consultant, and entrepreneur based in sunny Philadelphia. Alex has led and evangelized the coworking movement in Philly by co-founding Independents Hall, a collaborative community focused on mixing social interaction with shared office space. Since opening the space, Alex has assisted a number of other similar group leaders in focusing and energizing their efforts. Alex is also a driving force behind multiple social media and technology events and organizations in the city, sharing his infectious enthusiasm with every person that crosses his path (or finds him on Twitter).

Jackie Peters, Heavybag Media

Starting out 12 years ago as a programmer, Jackie’s career path has lead from programming, to design, to multimedia production and ultimately to marketing.
In 1998, Jackie founded Pixelcommotion, an interactive design firm that specialized in multimedia presentations, website design, animation and digital video post production.
In January 2001, Jackie co-founded Heavybag Media, an interactive marketing firm. She develops marketing strategies that utilize social tools, community platforms, traditional and non-traditional media and cutting edge technology in order to enable brands to engage their audience on a meaningful level.
Through Heavybag Media, Jackie also partnered with Internet and mobile startup, Robotube Games in 2003, which produces casual online and mobile games.
In addition to her role at Heavybag Media, Jackie is an interim member of the Board of Directors for the Social Media Club and Director of the LA Chapter of the Social Media Club. She is a member of the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) and recipient of several industry awards including W3 and Ad Club awards.
