November Silicon Valley Wordpress Meetup November 8, 2007

I just talked to someone at google, and they've offered to host us for the second annual meetup for the silicon valley area.

This time it's going to be a little different. They've offered us a conference room for about 25-30 people, and we'll have access to a projector. I'm planning on doing a small presentation around about 5:30ish just to get things rolling.

This is going to be barcamp-esque (minus the beer, of course) and I'm hoping that we can start doing this things monthly or bi-monthly.

I'm hoping to get some sort of a blog or site up soon for this, and I'll have more on security and other general stuff up soon. It will be held at building 43 (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=114847901941240307924.00000111e27705f59331b&ll=37.421124,-122.084118&spn=0.004605,0.00478&t=h&z=18&om=1). I will personally be there around 4:50-5:00.

A few notes from Adam:
- Indoor photography isn't allowed.
- We'll provide a full dinner
- We have connectors in the room that enable projection from laptops.
- The entire campus has free wifi ("GoogleGuest" ID)

I'm borrowing a camera and mic, so if anyone has something they want to share, it'll be recorded.

RIght now I'm ballparking that there's going to be 25-35 people there total.

As far as parking goes, what I did last time was drove all the way down to the shoreline ampatheatre parking.

If anyone asks, our host is Adam Lasnik and you're there for a Wordpess Meetup. If you park your car all the way down, they'll probably ask you before you get on the bus.
