Nottingham Flickr: Peak District Walk 3 - Magpie Mine October 18, 2008

The Nottingham Flickr Group go for a day out walking starting at Over Haddon and travelling to Magpie Mine, Monyash (for a cafe lunch stop), Lathkill Dale, Conksbury Bridge and back to Over Haddon.

The description from the guide book I've used for this walk before says:

"The first half is across rolling limestone upland with extensive views, then the character of the walk changes dramatically, as one descends a craggy limestone gorge"

Distance: 9.8 miles
Total Ascent: 1220 Feet

Estimated time: 5 hours if just walking, maybe longer for us with cameras taking it a bit easier
