A branch of the R&B tree, Doo Wop and its beautiful harmonies became mainstream in the '50s and '60s. Flint Lloyd, Ronald Meriweather, Donald Williams and Floyd Boykin of Nostalgia all sang Doo Wop in the streets as kids, and St. Louis clubs and halls as young adults.
