Saint Etienne's Turntable Cafe hosts a Noson Llawen, or night of Welsh Entertainment on Friday 2nd March in the Purcell Room.

There will be clips from Disc A Dawn, the Welsh language equivalent of Top Of The Pops, from 1969-1973, including Meic Stevens, Heather Jones, and Wales' premier Glam band, Touch. Then Richard James from Gorkys Zygotic Mynci will be playing songs from his acclaimed new album The Seven Sleepers Den. Afterwards we repair to the foyer where Andy Votel (the man behind the Welsh Rare Beat cds) and the B Music Collective (including Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs) will be playing Welsh records as well as Turkish, Hungarian, and all manner of unusual stuff. This doubles up as the Gruff Rhys/Ether aftershow for a full post-St Davids Day experience.
