FRIDAY SEPT 28

1230p: ON THE TRAIL OF GLACIERS, Mountaineering
The purpose of this film is to determine, on the basis of historic photographs, to what extent the most delicate and important system on earth, the cryosphere, has changed over the past century.

2p: DEFY: THE DANNY HARF PROJECT, Wakeboarding
Three years in the making, Defy is a visual overdose of wakeboarding at its highest level, starring four-time X Games gold medalist Danny Harf and his crew of progressive riders.

330p: FRONTIER, Kayaking
Rush Sturges's film Frontier breaks new ground for whitewater kayakers, a story about extreme kayakers chasing their turbulent dreams to such exotic locations as Mexico, China, Iceland, Norway, Northwest U.S.A., B.C., and Quebec.

445p: FORMAT PERSPECTIVE, Skateboarding
Filmed on super 8, this film gives a behind-the-scenes look at the work, lives and opinions of six European skate photographers and the skating that these guys like to shoot, as well as the resulting photos that emerge from these sessions.

620p: A DEEPER SHADE OF BLUE, Surfing
Opening Night Film
This is not a surf movie, it is a film about surfing’s deepest roots: in the subconscious; in ancient lore; in the craft of surfboard building; in man’s perpetual quest for a joyful relationship with the natural world.  In famed surf photographer Jack McCoy's latest film, today’s leading surfers are linked to those who came before, for a deeper appreciation of what it means to be a surfer and the soulful underlying power of modern surf culture.
8p: Free OPENING NIGHT PARTY AT MISSION CLIFFS
DJs, drinks, nibbles and climbing plus Snowboarding and Climbing short films by Standard Films and Reel Rock. Plus Sugarbowl lift ticket giveaways!

SATURDAY SEPT 29

12p: 40 DAYS AT BASE CAMP, Mountaineering
Dianne Whelan captures a fascinating, intimate portrayal of life at the base of Mt. Everest, the “goddess” to the local people and a place of staggering physical and spiritual beauty. The film sheds a provocative light on a community of people that are brought together in their quest to reach the top of the world and the challenges that journey brings.
2p: LOST AND FOUND, Surfing
This is about the discovery of an epic collection of some of the best surfing photographers from the period of time that shaped the sport as we know it today.

Take a journey deep into the mountains of Wyoming with a group of hard-charging, dedicated skiers and watch as they explore the state with the most rugged and remote terrain in the lower forty-eight.

5p: MANUFACTURING STOKE, Surfing
Centerpiece Film
Surfers are directly connected to the earth’s pulse and yet a majority of the materials used are environmentally toxic. Amid timid efforts from the industry’s biggies, a plethora of grassroots up-and-comers is redefining what a surfer is able to ride.
