A celebration of North American Urban Folk Music of the 1940s and 1950s with performers and families of performers from that era. Workshops in the afternoon 1-6pm and a concert in the evening from 7:30 to 10pm. For a listing of performers and more details go to www.folkmusicny.org/40-60. Organized by Folk Music Society of NY, Inc.
In addition to concerts, we sponsor weekends, formal and informal gatherings, and other events with an emphasis on traditional and acoustic music. Members receive a discount to most of our events. We are also known as the N.Y. Pinewoods Folk Music Club.
