Boston is a main hub for life in New England. From music to arts, to culture, and all of the above, Bostonians have welcomed our New England neighbors into our city with great warmth. It is with that spirit of community that we proudly announce the Nor'Easter Film Festival. Coming to the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, November 1st and 2nd from 12-3 p.m., the Festival will showcase the work of the filmmakers from around New England.

Liz Robbins founded the Festival last year, initially as the Lights, Camera, Action! showcase. From that humble start, we are excited to help her bring that idea to fruition as the Nor'easter Film Festival this year. By expanding our sights to the entirety of New England, we aim to bolster the burgeoning filmmaker's community that thrives here. It is a chance to connect students to professionals, independent filmmakers to artists, all with new and different ideas.

We at the Nor'Easter Film Festival want to provide a setting for all of these artists to network. By bringing together motivated and thoughtful individuals from across the spectrum of art and film, we believe we can foster a strong community of ideas. Such community can only lead to further creation, creativity and growth.

There is far too much creative energy floating around New England to keep it locked away. The Nor'Easter Film Festival is aiming to bring that art to the forefront. After all, to quote our founder, "Making the film is only half the equation. Without the audience, the circle of artistic expression cannot be completed." We are here to complete that circle. In doing so, we only imagine great growth in the community, both for art and New England as a whole. For more information, visit www.noreasterfilmfestival.com. We are excited to bring this event to Boston, and we anticipate a great weekend filled with interesting people presenting remarkable films. Here's to art, and the communities that help it flourish!
