Michael Nicholas Aphorisms for solo piano
The pitch material for this piece is the result of analysis of the harmonic spectrum of the low A on the pianoand distortions of this spectrum. By filtering out all non-tempered tones, I was left with a series of chords, which I then used as a harmonic progression.
