Non Stop Bhangra July 17, 2010

Imagine a scene from a Bollywood movie smack in the middle of a thumping nightclub---swirling colors, the rhythm of pounding feet, and the relentless energy of brilliant beats-that’s Non Stop Bhangra. Non Stop Bhangra is a non-stop party, featuring dance lessons with Dholrhythms Dance Company, followed by dance performances, live music sets, visuals, live painting, and DJs spinning an eclectic mix of Bhangra, Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Electronica.

This month the whole NSB crew is in the house and looking forward to making you all dance. As always, the night begins with the ritual dance lesson with the beautiful Dholrhythms Dance Company, followed by NSB live set featuring dance performances mixed in with vocals by NSB MC’s Mandeep Sethi and Mista Chatman alongside Rav-E on dhol. This month NSB also welcomes special guest Dj Erick Santero hailing from Oakland sharing some east bay love & bringing his funky latin bhangra flavor to the night alongside residents Dj's Jimmy Love, and Rav-E who will be sharing their favorite NSB Bhangra tunes as always to keep you moving. To round off the night, NSB Resident Marcus Murray will be painting another dope live piece to add to the wicked NSB Art Collection while Amar hooks up the groovy visuals.
