Nominations for Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) Awards 2009 April 29, 2009

The British Councils Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) Awards programme aims to develop a powerful professional network between creative entrepreneurs in India and the UK to inspire and facilitate the sharing of best practices in building skills and access to resources, professional development, markets, mentoring and resources thereby increasing opportunities for business between India and the UK . The awards include recognition schemes for entrepreneurship in Publishing, Design, Fashion, Interactive, Screen, Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Communication. Applications are open for - International Young Performing Arts Entrepreneur (IYPAE) Award 2009 The British Council invites young Indian entrepreneurs working in the performing arts sector to apply for the International Young Performing Arts Entrepreneur Award 2009. The Indian winner will get to attend the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, compete alongside 9 other national winners for the overall International Young Performing Arts Entrepreneur of the year to win the title, a financial reward of 5000 to develop business ideas and travel to London and Edinburgh to meet leaders of UK s performing arts sector. In 2009 countries participating in the IYPAE awards are China , Colombia , Egypt , Georgia , Ghana , India , Lebanon and Saudi Arabia . Closing date of applications: 15 May 2009 International Young Design Entrepreneur (IYDE) Award 2009 The Young Design Entrepreneur Award 2009 is open for applications to young Indian entrepreneurs working in the design sector. The Indian winner gets an opportunity to attend UK's leading contemporary interiors event 100% Design, compete for the International Young Design Entrepreneur title and a financial award of 5000 and travel to London and Glasgow to meet leaders of the UK's design sector. The International Young Design Entrepreneur award is being presented for the fifth time and is awarded in partnership with 100% Design, London s international trade fair for furniture and interiors. In 2009 the countries participating in the IYDE awards are China , India , Indonesia , Malaysia , Slovakia , Slovenia , South Africa , Taiwan and Turkey. Closing date of applications: 29 May 2009.
