The Cause
The Festival of Grilling returns as a benefit for Noah's Hope, a charity created to support research, raise funds, and inform the community about Batten disease. Over time, affected children suffer mental impairment, worsening seizures, and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. Eventually, children with Batten disease become blind, bedridden, and unable to communicate. Presently, it is always fatal between ages 8-12.

The Meat
Award-wining guest chefs will help us prepare a variety of top quality grass-fed and free-range organic meats provided by Wallace Farms (www.wallacefarms.com). All the meat will be dry-rubbed and slow-smoked for hours prior to your arrival, resulting in a juicy-smokey-tenderness usually only experienced by kings. You can look forward to pulled pork, beef brisket, quartered chickens and turkey legs.

The Non-Meat
While an event with the above meat alone would flourish, we know some people still want to eat what food eats. For them (and those of us that want a side dish) we'll have Loaded-Mashed Potatoes, $80 Beans (tailgating tradition), grilled veggies, corn on the cob, and cole-slaw.

The Beer
Several local craft breweries will be joining us for this event. More details will be available as their participation is finalized.

The suggested donation for beer tickets will be $3 for 1 or $10 for four

The Fun
Bags tournament - Starting at 3 PM, $10 per team, winner takes home half the prize money

50/50 Raffle - You know how this works, tickets $1 each, 6 for $5

Silent Auction - Items donated by local businesses, proceeds go to Noah's Hope (we are currently accepting donations)

The Music
Model Stranger will be performing - www.modelstranger.com

Funk in the Trunk will be performing - www.funkinthetrunkchicago.com

One or two more live acts will be performing throughout the day and into the evening. More details will be available as their participation is finalized.
