New Arts in St. Johns and KBOO turns 40.

No.Fest : Nu.Music.Arts St. Johns 2008> Saturday June 21st.10am-Midnight> Admission donations suggested>all ages.

The first "ST.JOHNS NO.FEST" is happening this June to expose artists who push the boundaries in innovative art and music. Using 4 alternative venues, entirely localized (hence"No"), free, and all ages, we are determined to lead the arts back to the community. The festival program shall run from 10am to Midnight. Performances shall be broadcast in parts on KBOO, 90.7 FM, Portland, celebrating 40 years of community service with a series of events, including the usuals Waterfront Blues Festival, Pickathon, Boo Bash, but adding to it this year with No.Fest and PDX Pop Now!

In addition to the scheduled performances there will be an installation from EcoMorti and a "circuit bending workshop" from Jason Plumb. All the towne square space will be made available as an art and vendor walk for artists and craftsmen who wish to set up for sales. All Shows to take place in the PM. Performances from Noon to Midnight at latest.

5.30.StJohns Booksellers: Readers and performance art block: Jennifer Robin reports from a world three-thousand light years from home, Mykle Hansen reads from Help, a Bear is Eating Me, Spirit Duplicator performs the impossible, plus the return and finale of "Pixie Storm Stand-up Shaman" also known as Shane Schneider.
