Jonny Coleman's series of painting collages on discarded surfaces. The work is like a eulogy for people who never lived or died or proof of the artist's recoiling into fantasy versus It's taking place THIS SATURDAY (6-8PM); please use complimentary valet parking. This is his first solo exhibition, and it tests the viewer's boundaries of dealing with discarded, forgotten materials in conjunction with a narrative concerned with forgotten peoples and discarded relationships. In order to make an appointment to see the works before the weekend, please call 323.669.1125.

Coleman's work was directly inspired by Salvador Plascencia's debut novel THE PEOPLE OF PAPER (originally published by McSweeney's), which is now being printed in paperback form. Copies will be available at the reception for purchase.
