No Selector Sundays May 13, 2007

No Selector Sundays is a collective of forward thinking local musicians involved with and inspired by DJ culture. The night was founded by accomplished musicians Guy Licata and Abe Sieferth, along with veteran NYC DJs Jesse Mann and Evan Baggs. Jesse and Evan continue to hold down the evening on a weekly basis, bringing in a healthy assortment of talented live musicians, along with some of the best DJs the city has to offer. The focus is on great music in all of its forms, culminating in a mish mash of funk, soul, afro, latin, jazz, house, broken beats, disco, electro, and assorted danceable breaks.

No Selector’s lineups change on a weekly basis to fully explore chemistry and syntax between some of the area’s finest musicians and DJs. No Selector looks to fill in the cracks between styles and search out the possibility of new ones, striving to be a supercollider and melting pot for new music in Brooklyn.

Jesse Mann man the decks with an eclectic mix of beats to booty shake to.

JACK, a live project headed up by percussionist Peter Barr, will be playing funk/soul jams on the "stage."
