'No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy' is a story about convictions, patriotism and familial devotion with xenophobic overtones. An acclaimed major-league Latino baseball player refuses to sing the national anthem after his brother, a United States Marine, dies in combat during the Iraq war. The repercussions of his decision threaten to shatter his career. He is cornered by fame and debates between his success and personal conviction. The play puts forward the lives of two heralded heroes and raises the question of what would we choose? Patriotism, fame, family or none? The play is presented in Spanish with live simultaneous English translation.
