NJ Marathon Training Clinic - “Training Away from Practice” with Chuck Schneekloth April 11, 2012

Schneekloth, president of the Garden State Track Club and a four-time All Big East selection at Rutgers, will speak on “Training Away from Practice” at Road Runner Sports at 501 Shoppes Blvd. (between Rt. 1 & Rt 130) in North Brunswick. N.J. Schneekloth stresses that there are many parts to training, and that simply picking a mileage training plan is not enough. Cross-training is emphasized, including what to do on “off-days” when not logging miles on the road. Training different muscles while allowing for proper repair after a long run is critical, and Schneekloth will offer suggestions on improving every runner's efficiency in preparing for the marathon.
