NJ Hellrazors Roller Derby vs. Jerzey Derby Brigade July 22, 2012

The New Jersey Hellrazors women's roller derby team hosts a charity bout to "Join Ana's Cru" on Sunday, July 22, at 7:00pm at the Kendall Park Roller Rink in Kendall Park, NJ. A portion of the bout proceeds will be donated to Ana Cru who was born on March 12, 2012 with Dandy Walker Syndrome/Variant, a malformation of the posterior part of the brain known as the cerebellum which has caused her to be in a hypotonic state since birth. The combination of having low muscle tone and little to no motor skills has left Ana unable to eat orally, and as a result she has needed G-Tube surgery so that she can eat during convalescence. The NJ Hellrazors, in collaboration with Artisanal Tattoo of Somerville, hope to raise money to help Ana's family with costs associated with her care and ongoing medical needs.

This charity event takes place on Sunday, July 22, with doors opening at 6:30 pm (whistle at 7:00pm) at the Kendall Park Roller Rink, 3550 Rt. 27, Kendall Park, NJ (just 15 minutes outside of Princeton and New Brunswick). Ticket costs are $10 general admission, $12 at the door, and free for kids under age 10. Public service workers receive $2 off at the door if they show a badge. All ages are welcome.

Other highlights for this event include live music from the Princeton-based band, "Tethered Feathers," DJ music, team merchandise, baked goods, and good old fashioned fun. Donations will also be accepted to help the Cru family in the form of baby supplies, breast feeding/pumping supplies, and vegetarian food of any kind.
