From Toxic Pop:

Nina J. Chung's La Femme Extraordinaire

Arena Studios, known for their daring and provocative exhibitions of female-centric, multicultural and erotically charged fine art, is proud to present a new collection of photoart by Nina J. Chung, entitled La Femme Extraordinaire, on view May 17th through July 10th.

While Nina's untouched prints remain striking, it is her multi-media collages that are breathtaking. Combining photography, painting, drawing, collage and digital manipulation, her imagery becomes ethereal. Set into stunning dreamscape backgrounds, this sensually ambiguous expose of the female form beckons the viewer to participate in the images' emotional vitality. With her stylized silhouettes, haunting multiple images and icy minimalist approach to the nude figure, Nina has undoubtedly filled every piece with explosive beauty and passion. Her collaborative efforts with the improvisational capability of contemporary dancers gives this body of work the fluidity of motion.

A technically illuminating show, Nina has also incorporated her classically trained hand and her fine art knowledge by using elements of body art and the architecture of silk fabric designs.
