Niloofar is a twelve-year-old girl whose dream is to read and write—but in her village, education is only provided to boys. When her father arranges her marriage to an older man, Niloofar does everything in her power to escape her fate. This debut feature by award-winning writer/director Sabine El Gemayel (The Olive Harvest) and produced by Jean Bréhat and Rachid Bouchareb (Days of Glory, Little Senegal) showcases lead actress Mobina Aynehdar’s captivating emotional range.
