Celebration of 50th anniversary/Golden Jubilee of Nigeria's Independence in the City of New York: (1) a parade from 54th Street and Second Avenue to 44th Street (Nigeria House); and (2) Festival at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza near United Nations Secretariat at 47th Street b/w First and Second Avenue. There will be live performances, and vendors selling various Nigerian cuisines, African artifacts, etc. on site.
