Join New Israel Fund’s New Generations for a Shabbat dinner and talk with Gerald Cromer. Gerald Cromer is a sociologist and lecturer on criminology at Bar Ilan University. He is on the board of the New Israel Fund, and was a founder and chairperson of the religious peace movement, Netivot Shalom. He is the author of Narratives of Violence (2001) and A War of Words: Political Violence and Public Debate in Israel (2004).

He will offer his personal perspective on the Jewish imperative for social justice, and discuss the social impact – and resulting NIF activities –in the wake of the recent conflict.
