Nicki Minaj, a Trinidadian-born female rapper hailing from Queens, New York, is one of the top-selling female rappers of all time. Signed to Young Money Entertainment by Lil' Wayne, she made her mark through guest appearances and numerous mixtapes but has since gone on to become a Billboard chart-topping artist. Known for wearing outlandish costumes and wigs and singing as her alter ego, Nicki has been called "the black Lady Gaga."
