This event honors those Cancer Survivors fighting the battle and those survivors that have past on. The family event is 18 hours long, that has something for everyone. There will be activities and entertainment, cancer education events, teams selling food and other items, teams camped out, walking/running the track in memory/honor of the cancer survivors, opening and closing ceremonies, and a special Luminary Ceremony honoring cancer survivors and memory of those we lost to cancer.

The week prior at Chocataw HS, on Racetrack, next to the NW Daily News there the FWB Relay for Life and here will be a one time Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) Research today for a cancer-free tomorrow going on form 5-9 PM on 24 Apr. You must be cancer free, between the ages of 30 and 65 years. The survey takes about 45 minutes, and you will fill out some paperwork and be sent surveys throughout your life. The purpose of CPS-3 is to better understand the lifestyle, behavioral, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer and to ultimately eliminate cancer as a major health problem for this and future generations.
