Enjoy summer evenings of jazz in the National Gallery of Art's Sculpture Garden from May 26–September 15, 2006. Every Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine, experience an eclectic mix of top Washington-area jazz artists. Concerts take place in front of the Pavilion Café next to the grand reflecting pool and fountain. The café also offers a seasonal light fare menu and cold beverages during the Friday evening series. Sculpture Garden hours are extended to 9:30 p.m. on these nights.

August 25–Wayne Hooper and One Flight Up Jazz

September 1–Mark Aanderud

September 8–Michael Anthony Bowie

September 15–Michael Thomas Quintet

Picnickers are welcome to bring blankets. Alcoholic beverages and coolers are not permitted. During jazz concerts, a special menu of creative American cuisine is available in the Pavilion Café or from carts located on the patios. Admission to the Sculpture Garden and jazz performances is free.

The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is located at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., in the block adjacent to the Gallery's West Building.
