Having trouble making sense of the world? Has the sheer weight of the mainstream media, the internet and all those bloggers got you down? Is there just too much opinion and not enough news? Then let the News of the World team help you make sense of it all. Unplug and be in a room with real people as we sift through the info-crap so you don’t have to – and in the process maybe even uncover some nuggets of truth.

On 15 March at the Little Nest restaurant (1716 Charles Street), writers David Bloom, Alex Ferguson and Marcus Youssef were given their News of the World assignments ripped from the day’s headlines. They now have just ten days to create an artistic response in time for the 27th March opening of News of the World. Performers Bloom, Ferguson and Tricia Collins along with multi-media wizard Robin Greenwood and lighting guru Itai Erdal will then transform those responses into...well, you'll just have to wait to find out.

To stop the team from becoming complacent, they will also be challenged at every performance to respond to at least one fresh story drawn from that day’s news. The public of Vancouver – and indeed the world – are invited to submit their story ideas at either the Felix Culpa website (www.felixculpa.bc.ca) or our Facebook page (link from the Felix Culpa web page).

Expect News of the World to be topical, in your face and funny. We want to make you think differently, come and see if we can.

The production will also include audience interactive focus groups, in-the-moment research behind the headlines and escapes to YouTube and online game playing. In addition, every performance will be podcast live to the world.
