Join Meet Market Adventures and other Single Jazz lovers as we experience an authentic evening of legendary music with historical flavor! Our seasoned guide will meet us at Columbus Circle and then we will hop on the subway and get off at the first stop, which is 125th street. As we walk by the legendary Apollo Theater, we’ll hear about the historic jazz district that hosts the ghost of Louie Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis. We will then approach the infamous street that holds the venue where everyone good played and everyone came to listen! This first stop of the evening will be at "bring your own brown bag" joint that acts as a shrine to Harlem jazz called The Post's Woodshed Cafe. You'll love the warm and open atmosphere and all the beautiful woodwork and art that adorn this special venue.

After a thrilling set of up to the moment New York jazz, we'll hit the streets and see some of the historical sites. We will visit the famous clubs and speakeasies where all the greats have played from the days of Prohibition when all roads led to Harlem to party the night away. Our last stop of the evening will be the latest laid back lounge with good vibes and great live world beat music.

If you need advice to keep the party going, your tour guide and local jazz expert, Gordon Polatnick, will point out several more great uptown choices. So come out to hear great music, see legendary sites and be with some fun people!!
