Ahoy And Welcome Aboard!

Join fellow New York single sailors as we learn how to sail the Ventura. Learning to sail is a memorable experience on the historic Ventura, a true wooden ship whose hull is built of solid mahogany, decks are Indian teak and her hollow wooden mast is made of American spruce.

Our sailing singles will be given a brief introduction class on land before we cast sail. We will all work together as a team, learn the basic handlings and workings of helmanship and become the crew if this beautiful vessel. Each of us will have hand-on experience maneuvering around and learning the ways of sailing the ship like a true captain. Navigation, steering and attending to the sails are some of the things that we can look forward to as we sail. After your ship experience, you can then decide to kick back and enjoy being taken care of or continue to be a part of the captain's crew. We are invited to bring our lunch and eat as a crew!
