30 Million Americans and countless millions worldwide have taken up the practice of yoga...but What is yoga? Is it simply a series of postures or is it a way of being that presents us with the ability to transcend and transform. Filmmaker Suzanne Bryant explores this concept through her own path to healing in a new film called YOGA IS, as well as appearancees by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Russell Simmons, Christy Turlington Burns, Michael Franti, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Cyndi Lee, Dharma Mittra, Gurmukh, Robert Thurman and Krishna Das, among others. YOGA IS a timely and powerful film that examines the role of yoga beyond the mat.

Filmmaker Suzanne Bryant thought she had it all...and one day...it all changed with the loss of her 57-year old mother to breast cancer. Feeling lost, she embarked on a journey looking for answers and turned to a deeper practice of yoga. Her journey led her to India on a spiritual quest to learn more about this powerful ancient practice. While in India, something had shifted within her, the light had returned.

Inspired by her experience in India, she returned back to the U.S. to explore how it can transform lives. Suzanne traveled across the country to learn from the most prominent western yoga gurus and teachers as well as celebrity yoga devotees insearch for the answers that unite us all in life. What she found transcends everything and offers clarity and happiness to all who take up this practice.
