Join The New York Junior League as they host their 8th Annual Conference focused on maximizing the volunteer culture in a nonprofit organization.
This year, the NYJL is pleased to announce two high-profile keynote speakers. Tory Johnson, Founder and CEO of Women for Hire and the Workplace Contributor on ABC’s Good Morning America will focus on “Volunteerism as a Step to a New Career”. Silda Wall Spitzer, Founder of Children for Children will talk about the power of volunteering and service-learning.

There will be a panel discussion on volunteer demographics. Breakout sessions include: Recruitment and Training: Involving Volunteers Effectively, Trends and Challenges in Volunteering, Retaining Volunteers: Setting Mutual Expectations and Social Networking: Modernizing Your Volunteer Network through Technology.

Open to the general public, the conference starts at 8:30 a .m. and concludes at 3:00 p.m. with a networking reception. The registration fee includes conference materials, a continental breakfast, lunch, four breakout sessions and a networking reception.

Tickets cost $55 and $65 after May 13, 2009. Early registration is strongly encouraged as space is limited. Proceeds benefit the charitable activities of the New York Junior League.
