New York Guitar Festival: Leni Stern + Brandon Ross + Michelle Kinney January 21, 2006

Flushing Town Hall joins Carnegie Hall and the 92nd Street Y in hosting the New York Guitar Festival, with two concerts that combine world-renowned guitar players, original scores commissioned by the Festival, and Asian silent films from the 1930s.

Five-time winner of Gibson's Best Female Jazz Guitarist Leni Stern performs her own score to Yonggang Wu's 1934 silent film The Goddess (Shennu). Guitarist Brandon Ross and cellist Michelle Kinney perform together as the opening act.
