Flushing Town Hall joins Carnegie Hall and the 92nd Street Y in hosting the New York Guitar Festival, with two concerts that combine world-renowned guitar players, original scores commissioned by the Festival, and Asian silent films from the 1930s.

Alex de Grassi, one of the world?s top fingerstyle, steel-string acoustic guitarists, performs live music accompanied by Yasujiro Ozu's 1934 silent film A Story of Floating Weeds (Ukigusa monogatari). Also on the program will be guitarist Henry Kaiser.
