Battery Park City
New York City, New York

Hundreds of New York City residents are expected to join the Williams Syndrome Association (WSA) on Saturday, May 15 along the Battery Park City Esplanade and walk to raise awareness for Williams syndrome, a genetic disorder that remains virtually unknown to the general public, educators and many doctors. New York City is one of over 35 areas across the U.S. including St. Louis, Nashville, San Diego and Dallas that will participate in the inaugural Williams Syndrome Awareness Week from May 9-15.

The week-long activities are being held in order to help raise funds for critical programs and research run by the Williams Syndrome Association. As part of the historic week, New York City residents will walk along the Battery Park City Esplanade starting at Wagner Park at 11:00 am.
