New York City Ballet: Spring 2009 Season June 19, 2009

Highlights include world premiere ballets by NYCB Principal Dancer Benjamin Millepied and Jiri Bubenicek, principal dancer with the Dresden SemperOper Ballet, seven Jerome Robbins ballets, and contemporary works by Melissa Barak, Douglas Lee, Angelin Preljocaj, Alexei Ratmansky, and Christopher Wheeldon. Among the 20 works by Balanchine are favorites such as his angular and dynamic 'The Four Temperaments,' the captivating 'Firebird,' and a major revival of 'Scotch Symphony,' which will feature a new set design by former NYCB Principal Dancer and current Ballet Master Karin von Aroldingen.
