The Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro announced its New Year's Eve Comedy Night with R-Rated hypnotist Joe Devito and comedy headliner Chris Tabb.
Joined by comedians Sarah Simon and Tim Dillon and the Orpheum Theatre's house band Red Fox Motel, comedy legends Joe DeVito and Chris Tabb will help the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro laugh its way into 2012.

"R-rated" hypnotist Joe DeVito invokes a proud tradition with an unconventional twist, performing a show of risque hypnotic stunts that would have stood Freud's hair on end, had he not been mostly bald.

DeVito first lulls audience volunteers with space-age music and voice relaxation, weeding out the un-hypnotized (those giggling and elbowing their buddies) before selecting the subjects for his gauntlet of bawdy stunts. The hypnotist then requests the standard catalepsy (arms held up in awkward positions) before subjecting initiates to a series of increasingly ribald suggestions. "When I snap my fingers, you will be making love to a beautiful woman," he says to a volunteer, who instantly drops to his belly. Not surprisingly, the show culminates in a no-holds-barred, kootchie-koo dance a thon.

This evening of comedy also includes Chris Tabb. Chris Tabb is often described as a comic who "appears in control and out of control at the same time" when he is on stage, However, he is described as very, very, funny. One look at his seemingly endless energy, wit and stage presence proves that he is ready to take on any stage or arena. His act quickly switches between observational, physical and theatrical, which keeps all audiences "in stitches and entertained."

After the comedy performance Red Fox Motel, the Orpheum Theatre's house band, will help count down the seconds until 2011.
